This policy explains what information Zulu ("we", "us") collects when you use zulu.life or contact us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Zulu is operated by Fig AI Technologies Private Limited, Bengaluru, India.

1. Information you give us

When you use Zulu, you may share:

• What you are looking for: the appliance or product you describe in the chat box, your budget and preferences, or a product link
• Your contact details: your mobile number (including your WhatsApp number) and, if you choose, your email address
• Order and exchange details: such as your delivery address, and details of an appliance you want to exchange (brand, type, age and condition)

2. Information collected automatically

• How you found us: the campaign tags in the link you used (for example, that you came from an Instagram ad) and the website that referred you.
• Meta Pixel: our website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms. It uses cookies and similar technology to record visits and actions such as enquiries, along with basic device and browser information. This helps us measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and show them to people who are likely to be interested.
• Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website (for example, which pages are visited and which buttons are used), so we can improve it. It uses cookies and collects basic device, browser and usage information.

We do not send your mobile number, email address or the text you type in the chat to Meta or Google for advertising.

3. How we use your information

• To find the right product for you and get you the best price from retailers
• To contact you about your request, including by phone and WhatsApp
• To arrange delivery, installation and, where relevant, the exchange of your old appliance
• To send you updates about Zulu, which you can stop at any time
• To understand which of our ads and channels work, and to improve our website and service

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with those who help us provide Zulu, such as:

• Retailers and installation partners, who receive the details needed to quote, deliver and install your product (such as your requirement, name, phone number and delivery address)
• Meta Platforms, for WhatsApp messaging and for ad measurement through the Meta Pixel
• Google, for website analytics and for storing our records (Google Workspace)
• Payment partners, when you pay or choose EMI, who process your payment under their own terms
• Our hosting and technology providers

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as needed to handle your request, complete your order and provide after-sales support, and to meet legal and tax requirements. You can ask us to delete your details at any time, subject to those requirements.

6. Your choices and rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

• Ask what information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Withdraw your consent and stop hearing from us at any time (reply STOP on WhatsApp, use the unsubscribe option in any email, or write to us)
• Raise a complaint with us and, if it is not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India

You can also limit ad tracking in your browser settings or in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of storing or sending data online is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

8. Children

Zulu is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
